Meet Us!

~ Susan Ragsdale-Cronin ~

Hi I’m Susan, plant and lab magician and co-creator of Merry Jane Gardening Club with my daughter Tara and my good friend Simeon.  We want to use our collective strengths and compassion to teach others to grow and make mindful medicine.  We are excited to start a platform to help others in that regard. I knew I would be a plant doctor when I was six years old.  My six year old brain envisioned me making house calls and saving distressed plants.  What I’ve learned since almost 55 years ago, and my subsequent  lifetime of studying plants, is that plants can save us, it’s a mutually beneficial relationship.

From converting CO2 into Oxygen, feeding us, healing us, visually filling us with color and texture, sensually touching us, like when we run bare foot through soft spring grass… plants are miraculous, they affect us micro-second by micro-second. The magic internal chemistry of  plants with a phytocannabinoid system, which includes cannabis and a few others, and the humans on the  Merry Jane Gardening Club team have come together on our shared mission to bring our personal gifts together into a verdant landscape to teach others  how to grow and make functional botanicals.  And we are super stoked!

And I hope you are too!  Let’s Start this Adventure Together!

Hi, I’m Tara, Susan’s daughter and co-creator of the MJGC website. Our mission is to use my techie skills along with my mom Susan’s plant skills and Simeon’s people skills to teach others to grow and make mindful medicine, while fostering community connection through a Zoom platform.  We are greatly pleased that you have chosen to join us on our path of sharing the rewards of growing mindful medicine and sharing experiences.

We here on the Merry Jane Gardening Club team want to spread the joy of the magic chemistry of plants to enhance people’s lives and create an online community.

I’m so excited to share my love of technology in a way that helps others!

~ Simeon Etoria ~

Hi, I’m Simeon, co-creator with Susan and Tara of Merry Jane Gardening Club. Our mission is to foster community connections (I am a personal coach- see Resource page) while educating others on growing and making mindful medicine. I consider myself a compassionate connector of people, while Susan, our in-house horticulturist, is our plant expert, and Tara is our web guru.  We are so excited that you have chosen to join us on our path of sharing in the rewards of growing and implementing mindful medicine practices within our community.

I knew I would be a connector of people when I was a young child. My mother and father immigrated to the United States from Jamaica and have always kept our family connected to their home country, so I have had the opportunity to see people we view as less fortunate still find in their hearts the ability to share all they have with others. Witnessing these acts of kindness growing up taught me to see the inner-light that can shine from everyone.

I lost who I was for a while, but cannabis was one of the tools that helped me find my light in the darkness once again. Living in the darkness is not an easy life to live. Susan, Tara and I are dedicated to sharing with others, such as you, how to find your light again, or maybe even for the first time.

We here on the Merry Jane Gardening Club team want to spread the joy of the magical chemistry of plants to enhance people’s lives and create a community in a world of division.

We are excited, and we hope you are too! Let’s start this adventure together!
